Ruth will play the part of Erica in 'Ashes'. In 2016 Ruth was nominated for the leading actress BAFTA for 'Don't Take My Baby' with the film taking home an award and Ruth is also a Breakthrough BAFTA Brit. An extremely talented actress, Ruth has appeared in Idris Elba's 'Five by Five', 'Bad Education' and 'Cold Feet'. We're thrilled to have her on board.
I set up Prissy around 6 years ago as a platform to work with other artists and professionals who want to be involved in original drama... and if you're wondering why I called it Prissy - it's a homage to my nan Priscilla - a very glam lady til the end - court shoes and lippy and knocking on 80s door! I've worked as a freelance Producer as well as acting - working in house for BBC North, CBBC, Channel 4 as well as through independent production companies in Manchester - starting my career at the Beeb in 2011 - producing factual content and documentaries. 2016 was a good year to me as I was lucky enough to take home the kids International Emmy, a BAFTA as well as the National Royal Television Award for a children's documentary I pitched for CBBC. I'm now excited to be acting and producing drama short 'Ashes' - an original screenplay written by Paul McIntryre, winner of the Red Planet writers award in 2014. Ruth Madeley will perform the part of Erica. A very talented actress who was nominated for a BAFTA for 'Don't Take My Baby' in 2016, with the film taking home the award. Matt Hall is Co-producing 'Ashes' and will play the part of Si. More about Matt below.
